Research in Progress

Sapir Soker-Elimaliah, a 4th year PhD candidate in the Developmental Psychology program, will be presenting her research project: "The Relationship Between Autonomic Activity, Sensory Reactivity, and Restricted and Repetitive Behaviors in Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder".

Master’s Thesis

Daniel Brennan, a 2nd year PhD student in the Behavioral Cognitive Neuroscience program, will be presenting his Master's Thesis: "Morphometrical brain markers of sex difference". Daniel's thesis was recently published as a first-author pre-print. Check it out here.

Journal Club

Nora Awadallah, a 3rd year PhD candidate in the Neuroscience program, will be presenting a journal club article: "Journal Club: NOD2 Modulates Serotonin Transporter and Interacts with TLR2 and TLR4 in Intestinal Epithelial Cells". Reading the paper beforehand is NOT required. Link to paper here.

Invited Speaker

Our invited speaker, Dennis Tsang, MD, a 3rd year resident at Huntington Hospital, CA will be presenting an interesting clinical case: "Not a simple case of deep neck infection--a case of Langerhans's cell histiocytosis". See Dr. Tsang's Linkedin profile here.

Second Level Exam Practice

Data Analysis Feedback

Kimberly Page, an 8th year PhD candidate in the Behavioral Cognitive Neuroscience program, will be presenting some newly collected data: "Data analysis feedback: Microglia morphological characterization within dorsomedial hippocampal subregions following mold exposure". First Author Publication

Sapir Soker-Elimaliah, a 4th year PhD candidate in the Developmental Psychology program, will be presenting her recently published first-author paper: "Autistic traits moderate relations between cardiac autonomic activity, interoceptive accuracy, and emotion processing in college students". Alumnus Speaker

Our invited speaker, Jake Jordan, PhD, is our Neuroscience program alumnus. Jake is now a post-doctoral researcher at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and will be presenting his current research: "Lateralization of Hippocampal Spatial Coding". Check out more of Dr. Jordan's work here.
