Fall 2024 BrainE Blitz Lightning Talk Challenge

Science should be a conversation, not scientists lecturing audiences about their research. BrainE Hour is hosting research lightning talks to encourage the discussion between scientists of different backgrounds. Any and all GC STEM graduate students are welcome to give a 3-5-minute lightning talk or poster presentation about their research.
When: Friday, September 27th at 5:00 PM
Where: The CUNY Graduate Center Working Lounge (Room 5409)
Who: This event is intended for all STEM graduate students. Our goal is to boost interdisciplinary communication and interaction among CUNY graduate students.
Lightning Talk Rules
Structure: Each presenter will give a 3-5 minute science talk aimed at an interdisciplinary scientific audience followed by 3-5 minutes of Q&A.
Rules: ONLY ONE SLIDE! Slide should at least 50% visuals for content.

Slide Size: Slide should be a standard (4:3) size.
Prizes/Swag
One random in-person audience member will be awarded a $15 Amazon gift card.
All in-person presenters will receive BrainE Blitz t-shirts.
Top five audience-voted presenters will receive gift cards ($25 for 1st place, $20 for 2nd place, $15 for 3rd place, $10 for 4th place, and $5 for 5th place).
